EHS stands for Environment Health and Safety. The Environment, Health and Safety Officer at RBPL will be responsible for development and implementation of Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) of the company. The specific responsibilities include:
Development, implementation and monitoring of Environmental and Social Management system including occupational health and safety requirements.
Environmental and Social risk assessment and development of mitigation and management framework and action plan.
Implement waste handling and management procedures and maintain systems.
Ensure safety and preparedness of the workplace for emergencies (fire, earthquake, chemical spills), hazardous material management, accidents preventions and any other materials events.
Management of occupational health and safety risks and hazards and provide safety trainings and implement safety standards.
Conduct hazard identification and risk assessment, Job safety Analysis, accident investigation, timely reporting of the risk and implement the control measures.
Prepare/Update and implement EHS plan and procedures including SOPs, MSDS as required.
Engage with workers and local communities to manage and resolve grievances.
Job Specification
Bachelor/Master’s degree in environment science, social science, public health management or similar degree.
Experience in occupational health and safety practices and designing and conducting trainings
Familiarity with international standards including IFC performance Standards, WBG EHS guideline and pharmaceutical industry
Well versed in research, preparation of procedures, data analysis and reporting
Excellent communication skills in presenting and explaining health and safety topics
Ability to communicate and write effectively in English and Nepali, with preference for capabilities in both languages.
Preference to candidates having driving license and bike.
