Engineer

Job Description

Engineer- 1:Working Site based in Sindhupalchok District.

Engineer will be responsible for overall construction project work of the organization. The position holder will be closely working with Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for survey, design & estimate for building construction and responsible to implement construction project including quality control.

Reports to: Program Coordinator

Key requirements

• Completed sub-engineer course from recognized institution with at least 3 year working experience or BE with 1 year experience.
• Willing to stay 90%in working site.
• Self-motivated and strong computer skills.
• Having good presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for design, implementation/construction, follow up, quality control and evaluation of infrastructure construction in communities.
• Coordination with District line agencies in the district as well as in the center level.
• Responsible for need assessment, feasibility studies, individual interviews of community members, focus group discussion and site work.
• Responsible for construction of sanitation facilities, drinking water, shelter and school building.
• Other duties assigned by Director and Program Coordinator.

Duration: 6 months from date of assignment. (Possibility of extension- based on performance).
