Health Research and Social Development Forum (HERD), a national organisation working in the health and social development sector calls for application from dedicated and dynamic professionals for the position of Business Development Manager for a period of at least one year (subject to further extension based on performance) having a post graduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field with at least 5 years of demonstrable experience preferably in the development sector.
We require and desire for an ambitious, energetic and experienced senior-level employee who is efficient at improving organization’s market position and financial growth of the organization. He/She will be based in central office in Kathmandu and will work closely with the Executive Chairperson and Operations and Finance Unit for effective planning and execution of business development activities. The Business Development Manager will be leading the Business Development Unit – closely coordinating with Project/Programme Management Unit and Research Uptake and Communications Unit to discuss and strategize key working sectors and fundraising activities within the organization. He/She will also act as a focal point for business related negotiations and contracts of projects and programmes.
The Business Development Manager should bear excellent networking, communications, personal relations, persuasion, prospecting, public speaking, documentation, business forecasting and planning skills. He/She also should be well versed in identification of client needs and challenges, market knowledge, and adaptability to local context fulfilling the goals of the organization to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting financial gains and forging strong relationships with clients.
In a nutshell, we are looking for a senior employee who thinks and means business maintaining high degree of integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities (KRs)
The job centers around strategic input in terms of development and execution of business development strategies, fundraising and financial forecasting for the organization for its sustainable growth. At a routine level, he/she will also closely coordinate with operations, finance and project/programme managers to ensure value for money of the organizational activities.
