2. Prepare Standard File:
1. Preparing and maintaining standard files of various kinds of LC, DAP and TT documents
2. Preparing and maintaining standard files of CCU to Raxual/ Hetauda/ Birjung/ Kathmandu transportation and clearing charges
3. Preparing and maintaining standard files of all Insurance Premiums
4. Prepare standard transportation rates from various ports and cities of India and 3rd country from where our goods are imported. This must be updated every month
3. Comparison:
1. All Insurance Advise must be checked with standard file, signed and then forwarded to accounts
2. All Clearing and Transportation Bills must be checked with standard file, signed and then forwarded to accounts
3. All Bank Advise must be checked with standard file, signed and then forwarded to accounts
Any differences to standards must be immediately reconciled and get approved by director.
4. Import, Export Related:
1. Corresponding and carrying out all the paper works related to Bank, Insurance, Customs, CCU, Clearing Agents, etc. for Import and Export of Goods
2. Carrying out work related to clearing and transportation along with bills and payment
3. Arrangement for transportation of goods to ensure safe transportation
5. Negotiating rates with insurance companies to reduce premiums
6. Negotiating rates with transportation companies and keeping a log of the same
7. Maintaining stock declaration of insurance files of all the companies and performing regular reconciliation for excess premiums
8. Ensure time renewals of all Insurance Policies
9. Assist in handling all Insurance Claims from start to finish
10. Preparing excel file for all foreign currency positions and giving to concerned MD from time to time.
11. Travel outside of office for Bank / LC work
12. Ensure cost savings with relations to transportation, L/Cs, clearing agent fees, etc are duplicated across entire organization.
13. Electronic and/or manual correspondence with suppliers and customers
14. Any other development work as required
15. All other works given by Directors from time to time
Important:
- LC closing cost sheet including payment received by supplier.
- Discuss fund requirement with relevant director.
At least Bachelor’s degree
At least 3 years of experience in L/C Related Transactions and in Insurance Handling
Fluent in both Nepali and English
Sound knowledge of MS Office, Email and Internet
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and to handle customers of any types
