Job Description

Key responsibilities: The Safety and Security Manager will support the on-going CARE response for the Nepal Mega Earthquake by ensuring that relevant and achievable safety and security protocols are established and maintained in order to best provide for staff safety and program continuity. This position will be based in Kathmandu and rove to other CARE field locations as required and as requested and focus solely on Earthquake response programs and not support existing CARE Nepal programs.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree, preferably Master’s degree in management or any other relevant subject with a suitable university degree. 3-5 years of safety and security management with INGOs, UN or other relief and development organizations. Candidates with the similar level of experience within the private sector and/or police and military will also be considered.
