Media, Advocacy and Campaigns Manager

Contract Duration: For One year with possibility of extension.

 

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

 

Level – C1, Salary - NPR. 175,301 – NPR. 254,184 gross per month, starting salary dependent on experience.

 

Job Purpose: The Media, Advocacy and Communications Manager, is responsible for high quality technical leadership and coordination of Oxfam’s policy advocacy, campaigns, media and communication strategies in Nepal.

 

The Role:

Reporting to –the Country Director, you will lead Oxfam’s policy advocacy, campaigns, media and communication strategies in Nepal, working with amazing individuals who have the technical skills and competences to deliver quality products. You will be required to provide support to partners when needed, and represent Oxfam in various advocacy and campaign platforms and coordination mechanisms in country.

 

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, proactive, creative, and determined. You will be experienced in advocacy, campaigning, media and communications, and in building external relationships as well as leading teams. . Most importantly your ability to think strategically needs to be combined with the ability to translate vision into robust plans. It goes without saying that you will be a first class communicator, able to inspire and influence others to be as passionate as you about change!
