Logistics Coordinator (INT2461)

Oxfam has been working in Nepal since the 1980s, addressing the poverty and injustice faced by women and other socially excluded groups. We are urgently looking for dynamic team player in the following position for our National Programme.

Logistics Coordinator
Applicable for Nepali Nationals only
Level: C2
Duration: Fixed term contract until March 2017
Location: Nuwakot

Job Purpose:
To provide logistics support to Field Programmes of Oxfam Nepal and other areas/programme as and when deemed necessary.
This position will require Managing/supervising resources within defined boundaries including people and assets.
Position holder will be responsible for planning, monitoring and implementation of overall logistics processes/systems (i.e. purchasing, warehousing, assets and fleet) for Oxfam operations in accordance with Oxfam policies and procedures.
S/he will report monthly on all logistics activities to the Project Manager. S/he will assist and support the Programme Manager and Team leaders with logistics and security advice and procedure.


Requirements for the role:Master’s degree in Management or any relevant field and/or extensive experience in purchasing, warehousing, vehicle management, administration, team support, security and communications.Minimum 3 years of experience of managing people and working in humanitarian programmes in Logistics field.
