German Language Instructor Mid Level

Job Description

We are looking for a German language intructure to teach A1, A2 and B1 level of German language. 

Responsible for teaching students how to speak, write, and understand languages other than their natural-born language.

Native Speacker prepferred.

Job Specification

1. Teach students how to interpret foreign languages.
2. Translate foreign languages into the students' natural language to help them understand.
3. Provide instruction in literature and cross-cultural studies.
4. Teach students how to read, write, and understand foreign languages.
5. Provide individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
6. Develop pupil understanding and appreciation of culture of countries where foreign language is spoken.
7. Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
8. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
9. Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.
10. Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
11. Participate in ongoing training sessions.
12. Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
13. Maintain grade books.
14. Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.
15. Write grant proposals to gain funding for further research.
16. Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
17. Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.
18. Create lesson plans.
19. Utilize various curriculum resources.
20. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
21. Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
22. Develop incentives to keep participants in class.
23. Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.
24. Utilize public library resources.
25. Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
26. Tutor students on an individual basis.
27. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
28. Prepare and distribute required reports.
29. Observe and evaluate student's performance.
30. Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
