Position: Distribution Channel Manager

This position requires specialization in the area of strategic Marketing, Sales & Distribution in multinational Telecommunication sector. The position is temporary/project based and has a time duration of 12 to 18 months.

Main responsibility areas:

  • Define, develop and lead implementation strategy and process for sales and distribution to ensure optimum, planned market coverage
  • Define, implement and drive the distribution channel to achieve the business target for gross and net adds for post/pre-paid Subscribers so as to have the widest reach
  • Develop & lead implementation of sustainable strategies to ensure desired levels of partnership with all direct/ indirect channels, with an aim to ensure optimum business delivery in an extremely competitive environment, where high partner / vendor engagement is crucial.
  • Lead consultations with internal teams, agree on strategy and ensure implementation towards ensuring that Key business delivery processes are attuned to deliver desired results with least defects / wastages possible thus ensuring high & consistent standards that deliver business most efficiently
  • Prepaid Channel & Sales manpower Dimensioning & policies - budgeting, norms, gaps, arresting attrition, training & Incentives
  • Design service channel models
  • Increase market share & Revenue enhancement through right distribution.
  • Building cross-selling capability across channels.
  • Sales Automations, Enhance analytics capability, Process standardization, Improve data governance & Audits
  • Drive Channel engagements, display contests for enhanced Channel satisfaction scores
  • Automate & monitoring channel payouts & payout communication
  • Engagement Initiatives – Retailers ,Distributors,  Sales Teams
  • Digital Distribution – GIS
  • Empowering teams  with real time data & analytics – Sales Apps
  • Online Sales Lead Management
  • Drive Modern Trade, Alternate channels & Online aggregators
  • Online aggregator tie-ups
  • Optimize action process using Biometric devices
  • Optimizing Cost of Acquisition
  • Competition benchmarking & replication of good practices
  • Drive reduction of Low Utilization Sites 
  • Conceptual designing of Sales training
  • National Distribution Scorecard for all entities
  • Drive initiatives & automations to ensure quality sales
  • Efficient Zonal / District level dashboards on various KPI’s suggesting action plans with definite targets & timelines.

Your qualification and experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree, preferred MBA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 15 years of Leadership role and proven track record in Marketing, Sales & Distribution (Digital Marketing, Channel Management, Tele-Marketing & Distribution/Channel Management) in Telecom Sector preferably in multinational business environment
